With nearly 20 years of experience in business development and marketing communications, Diane Carey is the president and founder of Carey Consultants. Her dedication, passion, expertise, and excellent network of contacts have allowed her to carve out a position in the Canadian market. 

 

Recognized for her daring and strategic vision, she exploits the maximum potential of each of the mandates entrusted to her, in addition to showing great listening abilities and admirable respect to her clients. Sitting on various boards and committees, her social involvement is a great inspiration. She stands out for her personalized approach, her rigour, her dynamism, but above all, for the quality relationships she maintains with her clients and contacts. 

Originally from Tracadie, New Brunswick, Diane Carey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (co-op option), as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Université de Moncton. She has held various positions in communications, public relations, and marketing. 

 

From 2003 to 2008, Diane Carey held the position of Youth Development Officer at Entreprise Péninsule. She set up the first repatriation program in New Brunswick, Je reviens! J’y reste! and the first job matching website in New Brunswick: EmploisPA.ca. Her exceptional work has earned her several nominations and recognitions, including the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Acadian Peninsula, the Émergence Award from the Université de Moncton, the Young Leader Rural Canada Award (Innovation category), and the Acadie-Québec Award. In 2008, she was recognized as one of New Brunswick’s 21 most promising 21st century leaders (21 Inc.). In 2017, she was invited to participate in a restricted round table with Her Excellency the Right Honorable Michaëlle Jean, on the issues of women’s entrepreneurship in the international francophone space. 

 

Diane Carey was the consultant hired for the grouping projects of the Regional Municipality of Tracadie, the Rural Community of Cocagne, Shippagan-sur-Mer, Lamèque and Miscou Island as well as the City of Bouctouche and the LSD of Wellington. She was responsible for writing the feasibility study, the communication plan and its implementation, as well as the plebiscite committee. 

 

Today, as a volunteer, she is: 

  • Chair of the board of directors of Succès Jeunesse Péninsule acadienne;

  • Member of the board of directors of Community Foundations of Canada;

  • Member of the board of directors of the Coopérative régionale de la Baie;

  • Responsible for the communications and member of the board of directors of the Anciennes, anciens, amies et amis de l’Université de Moncton, campus de Shippagan (UMCS);

  • Member of the board of directors of the Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie Inc.; and

  • Member of the board of directors of the Fondation communautaire de la Péninsule acadienne.
