Jeff Kelly has been operating family-owned businesses in New Brunswick since 1979. After selling a successful 10-store consumer electronics business in 2009, he purchased a 3-store pet food retail business with his daughter in 2011.

In 2015, his son joined the family business and today they operate 9 Global Pet Foods stores with plenty of growth plans on the horizon. 

​

Throughout his career, Jeff has had a passion for delivering outstanding customer service through empowered and highly motivated teams. Today, Global Pet Foods staff is passionate and always doing their best to be helpful to pet parents.

Jeff mixes a combination of experiential learning, failing forward, evolving with trends, continuous improvement, and academic learning to build sustainable and profitable business strategies.

Jeff has developed a body of experience in family enterprise, having been involved in many forms of family enterprises. He has worked with his parents, siblings, and now son and daughter. Besides learning from working with families about the many benefits and pitfalls of family business, he has also learned about family enterprise dynamics through studies at the Family Enterprise Exchange (FEX) and is a certified Family Enterprise Adviser (FEA).

Jeff has a BBA from St Francis Xavier University and an MBA from the Smith School of Business.
